Quit Smoking with Hypnosis, Does It Work?

Quitting smoking is very hard for most people. For some, hypnosis may make things a little easier. By putting people in an altered state of mind, where they are more susceptible to suggestions, it may help with the mental aspect of quitting.

However, for hypnosis to be effective the smoker must be really want to quit. If they are not determined not even the best hypnotist will be able to help you.

Many people only know hypnosis through movies. They think of a person becoming entranced by watching an object dangling in front of their eyes. This is not how real hypnosis works. The goal of hypnosis is to suppress your conscious mind and influence your subconscious.

Hypnotic suggestions have been known to cure cravings for cigarettes. They help make your mental resolve stronger and convince you that you really can quit. It also makes it easier for your mind to say no to your body when it asks for a new cigarette.

Studies have shown that many people have great success with hypnosis therapy. However for hypnotherapy to be effective smokers will have to undergo at least 4 sessions with a qualified psychologist. Not all hypnotherapists are reliable and many do not have the necessary background to really offer effective therapy. It is always good to rely on recommendations of doctors or friends when looking for a hypnotist.

Quitting smoking with hypnosis requires an open mind as well as dedication. However it is a valid method and is definitely worth a try.

Much more effective than hypnosis is the Final Smoke program, read our review at http://quitsmoking.allinfonet.com
